A Journey with the Living Compass Model
Have you wondered about using the Living Compass model in your church or community? Or maybe you’ve been using Living Compass for years…Either way, journey with us beginning in Advent and moving through Lent to Easter.
During these seasons, we are partnering with Living Compass to offer a series of FREE discipleship opportunities and trainings for churches around the diocese!

Home by Another Road: A Living Compass Epiphany Mini-Retreat (2-hour online retreat) –January 10, 2026, 9:30-11:30am CST (only offered in English)
- Scott Stoner, founder of Living Compass, will offer guided self-reflections with time for small-group discussion and application. Each participant will leave with a “FAITH Step” intention they have created during the retreat — a commitment to how they feel called by God to journey through Epiphany this year.
- The title of the retreat comes from the story of the Wise Men who return home by another road after having encountered the Christ Child.
Living Compass Training for the Diocese of Texas – Mondays January 12-February 23, 2026 (only offered in English)
- Living Compass is offering TWO dedicated training cohorts for the Diocese of Texas for those who want to become facilitators of Wellness Circles for Adults, Parents, and/or Teens. Choose the cohort that works best for you!
- Cohort 1 meets Mondays at 10-11am CST
- Cohort 2 meets Mondays at 7-8pm CST
- The training consists of participating in a six-week Wellness Circle facilitated by Living Compass leaders, plus one additional resource overview session, for a total of seven one-hour sessions.
- There is no cost for these trainings.

Come and join us as we travel together on a vocation pilgrimage of discernment and discipleship. It will be a time of reflection and renewal, seeking God’s voice in our lives together.

Are you a formation leader in your church looking for a high-quality model of discipleship for aging and senior adults? The Offices of Formation in the Diocese of Texas and the Diocese of West Texas are hosting a leadership training in partnership with Parker J. Palmer’s Center for Courage & Renewal.
¿Eres un líder de formación en tu iglesia y estás buscando un modelo de discipulado de alta calidad para adultos mayores y personas de la tercera edad? Las Oficinas de Formación de la Diócesis de Texas y la Diócesis del Oeste de Texas están organizando una capacitación para líderes en colaboración con el Center for Courage & Renewal de Parker J. Palmer.
This episode of We Belong to Each Other features Lisa Perez. Lisa is a Youth Minister at St. Alban’s in Austin, a K-12 certified teacher, and a campus missioner. She shares with us her journey into the Episcopal Church and offers us some excellent insight into what youth are searching for in their spiritual lives and ways that we can journey alongside them in their formation. We are deeply grateful for her profound insights into formation leadership.
