| Train to Run Difference for Lent Live Online Training Session, March 4! At the heart of the gospel is a simple yet radical idea: hospitality has the power to transform lives. Jesus didn’t just preach about love and reconciliation, he lived it – sharing meals with outsiders, welcoming the marginalized, and breaking bread with those whom society cast aside. His example invites us to do the same. It often feels like our world is building bigger fences that divide us by community, perspective, and even church. But what would it look like if we instead built longer tables? This is exactly what Tom Herbert, founder of The Long Table, has set out to do. In the interview below, Tom shares how food, hospitality, and shared spaces can break down barriers and foster reconciliation in real and tangible ways. The Long Table project isn’t just about feeding people, it’s about creating a place of belonging where everyone has a seat, no matter their background or story. Watch the full interview Would you consider running Difference in your church this Lent? As we approach Lent, a season of reflection and renewal, we invite you to consider how your church or community can embody reconciliation. The Difference course equips people to navigate conflict, listen deeply, and build relationships that reflect Jesus’ welcome. We are excited to have a live online training session coming up on Tuesday 4 March! This will equip you to host any of the Difference courses (in your church, small group, youth group, secondary school or chaplaincy). This live training session is a unique opportunity to connect with others and prepare for running the course in a conversational, interactive environment. If you’re planning to run the course during Lent, this session is scheduled with you in mind. Train to run Difference |
