| Back-to-school season is in full swing…Forward Movement has many resources that can help adults and children grow together in faith – check them out below! For families: Little Box of Good News Starting in 2025, the Little Box of Good News became available as a subscription-style box for families to explore topics of our Episcopal faith together. Each box includes multiple, repeatable activities for families, as well as conversation starters. We are excited that these kits are fully bilingual (English/Spanish), inclusive, fun, and unabashedly Episcopalian! This resource comes from our friends in the Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana. For church groups of all ages: Exploring the Bible curriculum Exploring the Bible is a twenty-six session, all-ages curriculum that uncovers the vast, sweeping story of God’s extraordinary love for ordinary people, in a clear and easy-to-follow format. This free downloadable course is designed for adults and young adults, with an appendix on how to adapt sessions for youth. For communities with young children, a free secondary version of the curriculum The Path: Family Storybook Facilitator’s Guide allows the entire family to take part. Each member of the family can come to church and learn about the same story, each in their own class, and have a shared starting point from which to go home and talk, discuss, and debate about what they learned in Sunday school. For children: The BIG Way of Love for Kids Playing Cards Jesus loved to be with children, so we are thrilled to offer this discipleship resource: The BIG Way of Love for Kids. It’s a set of playing cards and activities to help our kids to become the BIG, beloved children of God they were created to be. Order sets of playing cards in the custom box (or print the free digital coloring sheets). The cards (or sheets) guide children to explore Bible stories, listen, pray, learn, and practice. They can play alone and with friends, church teachers, or family. These cards could be a good addition to a church nursery or children’s chapel. Jesus meets us everywhere where we go, so this resource is easy to take everywhere you go. Because we’re never too old or too young to walk the Way of Love with Jesus. |
